It is eaten as a simple side dish , calls ‘Gam Ja Chae Bokum’ of Korean. It means ‘stir fried slice potatoes’.
I was child my mother made this for lunch box so many times. My mother usually made with plenty of sliced onions, but I like to put some ham or bacon or cocktail sausages.
It gives a little smoky flavor, I like that.
Korean stir fried potato salad recipe
2 medium size potatoes, 1 cup Vienna sausages, 1 tsp minced garlic
1 Tbsp vegetable oil, salt and pepper for taste
Wash and peel potatoes, cut into strip 3~5mm thickness or half-moon slice. Soak in cold water with pinch of sea salt about 10 minute and rinse few time to remove cornstarch from potatoes.
It helps the potatoes don’t stick on the pan when you fry them.
Place a pan on high heat, pour vegetable oil into the pan. After a heated pan reduce medium heat and put potatoes.
Stir well until potatoes half cooked and put the sausages, minced garlic into the pan, stir well until cooked. Taste with salt and pepper.
