We have many dish style of chicken with all sort of cooking method. Stir fried, deep fried, braised, boil, steam…. etc.
But oven baking is not traditional cooking method in Korea. Actually that was long time ago. Nowadays? come on……..We live in global world, don’t we?
There are so many roast chicken recipes in the world. Add some seasoning and put in the oven, Just waiting for delicious golden crispy skin, juicy meat chicken. Yam~! Some day I tried add some Asian seasoning for it. I’m sure that every Asian kitchen has sesame oil and rice wine. That’s it. Those 2 ingredients make your home full of aroma and you can get tasty roast chicken.
Roast chicken with sesame oil recipe
1.2 kg whole chicken, 1 Tbsp sea salt, 1 and ½ Tbsp sesame oil, 2 Tbsp rice wine
½ tsp sea salt ½ tsp grind black pepper
Preheat oven 190°C. Clean the chicken with cold water, scrub chicken skin with sea salt and rinse with water. Pat the chicken dry using with a paper towel.
In a bowl, mix the sesame oil, rice wine, sea salt and black pepper. Rub the chicken inside and out with half of seasoning and tie legs. Brush the chicken with remain seasoning 2~3 time middle of baking.
For rotisserie : Place chicken on rotisserie spit and set up into oven.Bake 1 hour.
For roasting pan: Place a rack on roasting pan, put chicken on the rack breast side down. Bake 30 minute and turn to breast side up, and then bake another 30 minute.
