Sweet chili sauce recipe

How to make a sweet chili sauce that goes well with any fried dish.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup water
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • tablespoons rice wine vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons garlic
  • 1 tablespoons chopped red chili (or chopped red capsicum)
  • 1 teaspoons salt (or ½Tbsp fish sauce)
  • ½ tablespoons corn starch and 1 Tbsp water

Instructions

  • Finely chop the garlic and red chili.
  • Put water, sugar, garlic, chili, and rice vinegar in a pot and boil over medium heat.
    When it starts to boil, reduce to low heat and simmer for 2 minutes.
  • After 2 minutes, mix well with starch + 1 tablespoon of water and put in the pot, stir and simmer for about 30 seconds.
    Season with salt or fish sauce
    Cool completely, place in a clean bottle and refrigerate before use.
